My First Thoughts Post
I finally stopped planning and built the thing. Here's the start of it.
If you’re reading this, it means I actually did it. This site exists, and I built it myself.
For a long time it only lived in my head. I’d picture it, get excited for a night, then close the tab and do nothing. It’s easy to stay in the planning stage forever, because as long as you never start, you never have to find out whether you can pull it off. At some point I got tired of being the guy who only plans. So I sat down and coded this, piece by piece, and now it’s real enough that I can write to you from inside it.
I owe some credit here. A lot of the push came from itsmeray.com and rashadcodes.com. Their sites showed me what a personal corner of the internet could actually be. Not a résumé with a nicer font, but a real extension of a person. Honestly it was so much fun being inspired by them. I’d find a design or a little bit of functionality I loved, try as hard as I could to replicate it, then tweak it until it felt like mine. A lot of what I built here started that way, and I’m glad they put their work out where someone like me could find it.
So what is this section? It’s mine. My little corner of the internet where I write about whatever I’m building, learning, or thinking about. Not some polished highlight reel, just an honest record of what I’m up to. The 3D printer I just got, a trip to Korea, whatever comes after that. If you’re here this early, you’re catching me right at the start.
